Back in Cornwall

We have changed our plans and are now back in Cornwall, stayed at St ives for a week and had a great time, eating fish every night, now staying in redruth with an old school friend of Carls, weather has changed, now cold and wet but thats how England should be. Doing lots of tourist things and seeing lots.  Missing home, hope everyting is well. 

IN FRANCE

Unable to do blog for a few days, no internet, visited Sittingbourne, 23 Coombe st where I grew up and walked around to the old ruined church I used to play in, still very spooky!!! Richard had a Knickerbocker glory from the coffee shop in Sittingbourne that mum used to buy us, brought back soo many memories..  Now in France lovely weather, staying at wonderful bed a breakfast, very friendly people who speak English, my french is not as bad as I thought, roads are much better than England. Have now visited lots of war graves which is very moving, visited carls great great Uncles grave in Convoy small grave yard on the Somme.  Richard laid a wreath and we all cried.  All the memorials and grave sites are well looked after with flowers on each grave.  miss everyone at home.  Hope all is well love you all Penny

yes  need a bath and to do some washing, three weeks in and having the time of my life, bath today lovely town visited Stonehenge remember going as a child and playing all over the stones now you cant even get close to the monument, what a same!!! still great to be there, went to Salisbury lovely cathedral.

Hi everyone still in Wales weather hot, went to Snow-den traveled to the top of the mountain, walked around lots of castles, lovely beaches. met an old boyfriend of mine!!!!  Having a great time staying with relatives next in Cardiff can not wait

IN WALES

Weather is outstanding, umbrella came out for 2 minutes, otherwise it has been bright sunshine.  Wales is beautiful unable to pronounce any names of the places we have been to.  Great castles to see, lots of pubs and great food.  Relaxing more now that were out of London not as tired.  Miss everyone of to Cardiff next

Its me again

Staying in places without internet, bed and breakfast that are unbelievable, very friendly people, lovely food stayed in Boston lodge in lincolinshire so much to do, now in the peat district staying at harrop farm winner of the the best B&B in Britain and i can see why, lots of Abbeys castles and churches visited, beautiful country side, weather is outstanding, next off to wales

WOW

Weather unbelievable in Liverpool , sunburnt today, boat festival on heaps of tail ships and yachting races, went to shopping heaven PRIMARK lots of beautiful clothes cheap need packing crate to send home !!! went to cathedral today climbed all the way to bell tower very spooky, lots of lovely restaurants eating lots of fish, off to Boston tomorrow.

LIVERPOOL

Hi everyone, in Liverpool weather outstanding, what a great city. beatle mania everywhere.  Ferry across the Mersey twice. met Carl's cousin Janet and her daughter jenny & mark, lovely friendly people showing us all the sights of the city all the best shops

THE WEDDING

The best day ever, lots of people everywhere all dressed up for the wedding, great view on the mall to Buckingham palace, we waved our Australian flags and got interviewed by ABC and Sydney morning Herold.  The atmosphere was electric and everyone was in good spirits, i still feel like i need to pinch myself.  I am really here participating in history it is a day i will never forget.  Off to Liverpool tomorrow on the train first class, everything Beatles here i come

Fantastic Day

Today was amazing, RAF museum and then madame Tussauds you wouldn't believe the people I met today, and then off to Trafalgar square where I met the nicest police men who said that they would arrest Richard for me, but sadly I declined,  Then off to Ramsay s restaurant which was fantastic the food was amazing and our waiter took us into the kitchen after we had eaten, everyone is so nice here and polite. of to Royal wedding next.

Another day in london

Today was busy, war museum today the monument, London bridge, river cruise, and then dinner and show, saw 39 steps very funny, dinner was great at the oldest Indian restaurant in London food excellent.  very very tired but enjoying every minute of it

IN LONDON

Hi,  London is amazing it is really hot, packed heaps of jumpers!!!. Did London eye today and British museum.  all the streets are decorated with flags ready for the royal wedding, saw Buckingham palace big Ben is not as big as i thought, having a great time.  ceremony of the keys was fantastic and very scary London tower at night is not a nice place to be.  generator hostel better than i imagined but a bit noisy at night, everyone is so friendly and nice.  very very tired and legs feel like jelly.

IN KUALA LUMPUR

Waiting in the airport, plane has been delayed to London, my fake jewelery is setting off all the scans have been patted down twice now!!!. Think I will leave all the jewelery in the suitcase from now on.KL was very hot and humid all the time, climbed the stairs at the butan caves, all the temples were amazing, it feels like ive been on hoilday for weeks and it has only been three days   Everyone keep in touch penny

It is happening

Yes I am on holidays currently in KL there are so many people it is hard to see the shops, bought hundreds of DVDS and genuine Rolex watches????.  everyone wants to sell you something, really hot and humid, needed lots of beer to replace my electrolytes.  Think Ive lost lots of weight already with all this walking, but really having fun.  Miss Heidi and Joseph hope they are eating..

ONE MORE SLEEP TO GO!!!!

Me and Heidi day,  today, hair done, nails done, waxing where women wax!!!.  Everything packed sure i have forgotten something, off to Melbourne tomorrow at 0900hours, carl had a sleep.

3 DAYS TO GO !!!!

Getting very excited, feel very nervous, unable to sleep mind racing, has everything been done???.   Lots of list to complete but getting there, suitcase packed and unpacked and then packed again.  Going to miss relatives, friends and the animals, hope everyone stays well while were gone and keeps in touch.

5 DAYS TO GO!!!!

Family barbecue today, to wish us luck on our journey, too much alcohol too much personal disclosure, had a great day lots of food.  Ambulance only called twice once for my sister who has broken her ankle tripping on the patio step, and the other one for Wayne who fell over while running for the gate to let the ambulance in and he lost consciousness , luckily he is okay.   it only happens at the Millers.!!!!!

6 DAYS TO GO !!!

Royal wedding here I come, Australian flags already packed, looking forward to all the street parties, Last day at school for Richard,  everyone is excited.  Joseph will be staying home to look after the animals & Heidi, lots of relatives taking turns to feed him and to make sure he steps out of his cave!!!!

Hi this is the start of my travel blog, I will be going overseas with Carl my husband, Richard my youngest son who is 15 and me. I have been planing this holiday for over 2 years now and I can not believe that in 8 days my trip begins, We start off in Melbourne and visit Kala lumpar, UK, Europe, Singapore and then back to Australia, it will take nearly 3 months
